Who we are

Ese Guey is operated by Guey, Corp., a Delaware corporation. This policy describes the personal information we collect when an office uses Ese Guey, when someone chooses a burrito through an order link, and when you contact us. It should be read with our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

From the person who sets up an office, we collect:

• Name, job title, and company name
• Email address, used to send receipts and service notices
• Mobile phone number, used to sign in, and whether it has been verified
• Office street address, city, state, ZIP code, and delivery instructions
• The weekday, default quantity, and status of the subscription
• Card brand and last four digits, plus a payment-method identifier. The full card number is collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor, not by Guey, Corp.
• The time you agreed to text messages, and the time you opted out if you reply STOP

From a person using an order link, we collect a first name and the burrito they chose for that delivery. We do not ask that person for an account, email, phone number, or payment method.

We also keep records needed to run the service: messages we send, delivery and payment status, short-lived sign-in and phone verification codes, and security logs such as sign-in events. We do not use advertising cookies or build advertising profiles.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Create and secure the office account
• Confirm the address is in our New York City delivery area
• Take weekly orders, prepare the correct burritos, and deliver them
• Charge the saved card for finalized deliveries and send receipts
• Send sign-in codes, and texts and emails about ordering and delivery
• Prevent fraud, debug the service, and keep required records

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How we share it

The office contact can see the first names and burrito choices submitted for that office’s delivery. We share information with companies that process it for us only so they can provide Ese Guey:

• Stripe, to store the card and charge invoices
• Supabase, to host the account database and sign-in
• Twilio, to send sign-in codes and text messages
• Resend, to send email

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our customers and staff, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply or we would give notice.

Text messages

Text messages go to the phone number the office contact provided, after that person agrees at signup. Messages are sign-in codes and notes about the weekly order. You can opt out by replying STOP. We keep a record of that opt-out so we do not text the number again unless you consent again, and we email sign-in codes instead. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, to remember a sign-in code until it expires, and to protect order links. Stripe may set cookies when you enter a card. These are required for the service. We do not use them to advertise to you on other sites.

Retention

We keep account, order, and payment records while the subscription is active and afterward for as long as we need them for billing, tax, disputes, and legal obligations. Phone verification codes expire and are not reused. You may ask us to delete an account by emailing hello@eseguey.nyc. We will delete or de-identify personal information we are not required to keep. Finalized orders and invoices may be retained in our accounting records.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and payment processing that keeps full card numbers with Stripe. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Use a phone number you control, and do not forward order links to people who should not see that week’s names and choices.

Your choices

You can update the office contact, address, and delivery instructions from the dashboard, replace the card, and pause or cancel the subscription. Reply STOP to end text messages. Email hello@eseguey.nyc to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information.

If you are a California resident, you may request to know the categories of personal information we collected, used, and disclosed, and to request deletion, subject to exceptions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request, email hello@eseguey.nyc with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder.

Children

Ese Guey is a workplace lunch service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@eseguey.nyc and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. If a change is material, we will notify the office contact by email or through the dashboard.
